*Murat Balcı, who shows the historical diseases of civilization in works such as, In the Beginning Everything Belonged to Nobody, Noah's Granary, The Pilgrims, Temple of Desire, and J.W. UPLOADED! , also adds a utopian touch with his last work. Taking its reference from the first autonomous neighborhood established in Denmark in 1971, the piece titled ‘Rebellion’ imagines someone who rejects civilization, settlement, and capitalist relations and becomes a nomad and thus adds an exit door to critical theory: “In the work, the people who leave behind their home, family, heritage, society, citizenship bond, traditions, and beliefs are symbolized. They leave their possessions and belongings behind and live the nomadic dream of wandering through autonomous regions.” Thanks to this work, which stands close to a primitive anarchist line of thought that demands the total rejection of civilization, more activist and provocative voices such as Hakim Bey and Zerzan are added to the distant voice of the critics of such as Proudhon, Althusser or Benjamin.
